"Thanks again for all of your hard work yesterday and leading up to it! I thought it went beautifully and could not have hoped for more."

"I learned that even though everyone in our class is really different from each other, we can all work together."
~Kaylee, Ellsworth High School

"I liked the activities you shared with us. I learned a lot about the people around me and have the sense of being a much better leader from it. I like the fact that we were mostly active."
~Dylan, George Stevens Academy

"Otolith was a marvelous educational experience in which we learned helpful life skills in a fun environment. It has changed my life."
~Andrew, Acadia Christian School

"Otolith Education was a pleasure to work with. Kyle involves the students in exercises that stress the importance of communication, teamwork, and leadership. The activities offer a fun way of interacting with others, while the discussions that follow, allow participants to step back, and assess what they’ve learned from their participation. It’s these practical applications that are driven home, and it works because the approach was engaging and fun. This is the third class that I have brought to Kyle, and it will be a mainstay each year. I bring my students to Otolith Education because I want them to connect with each other, start to communicate their needs and expectations, and begin to build the trust and communication that is so necessary in the field that I am teaching. Each year, I too, bring something away from these workshops. This year I realized that just as I expect the students to be willing to ask for help when they need it, I too need to know when to be willing to ask for help when I need it from them, other instructors, or administration. In a society that stresses individuality, it’s important to remember the community that surrounds you, and is there for you, as a network of resources."
~Benjamin Speed, TV/Video Production Instructor, HCTC

Wise Words

"There are three ways of trying to win the young. There is persuasion. There is compulsion and there is attraction. You can preach at them; that is a hook without a worm. You can say 'you must volunteer.' That is the devil. And you can tell them, 'you are needed'. That hardly ever fails."
